Bryan, Garnier & Co advises the strategic merger of Assya Capital and Global Equities Capital Markets
Paris, July 7th 2010 - Bryan, Garnier & Co, the independent pan-European investment bank focused on growth companies, today advises the strategic merger of Assya Capital (Isin: FR0004060234) and Global Equities Capital Markets (Isin: FR 0004029452). This transaction will be submitted to the agreement of legal authorities (Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel) and to the approval of the general shareholders meetings of Assya Capital and Global Equities Capital Markets.
Bryan Garnier & Co acted as sole Financial Advisor to Assya Capital for this transaction.
The combination of these companies will create an entrepreneurial and diversified financial services group generating estimated revenues of €24m and profit before tax of €3m in 2010. The new entity will operate 3 divisions and 5 business lines
Capital Investment division: gathering Real Estate Investment business and Private Equity.
Insurance division: relying on First Caution (insurance company agreed by FINMA offering renting guarantees without deposits for private and commercial leasing in Switzerland)
Investment Banking division: gathering Brokerage, Corporate Finance and Asset Management activities
The size of the new group combined with its broad financial services offering will constitute a strong asset for its development: an increasing visibility towards clients, operational synergies resulting from the share of mutual expertises and business opportunities, and an enhanced access to financial resources.
Thierry Leyne, founder of Assya Capital, and Gilles Boyer, founder of Global Equities will become respectively President of the Supervisory Board and President of the Board of Directors of the new entity.
